What changes in the large-print starter

This starter combines US Letter-size pages, the large-print typography theme using Atkinson Hyperlegible, easy word-search settings, 14 × 14 grids and up to 15 selected words per puzzle. Its example vocabulary comes from seasonal, food, home and nostalgia themes.

Large print needs a printed check

A font choice alone does not establish accessibility. Check the size of the grid letters, word-list text, instructions and puzzle numbers. Also check contrast, line spacing and whether the answer section is readable enough for its intended use.

Print at actual size rather than shrinking to fit. If possible, ask intended readers to try a sample and tell you where they struggle. The preview is a way to evaluate those choices, not a promise of suitability for every reader.

Build the edition around your readers

  1. Open the starter and edit the printed title and author.
  2. Replace unsuitable themes or vocabulary, then inspect long words and the space they need.
  3. Review the page size and layout. A larger puzzle or different word list may change spacing.
  4. Export a watermarked proof and print representative puzzle and solution pages. Make corrections before ordering or publishing a finished book.

Does large print mean easy puzzles?

No. Letter size is a presentation choice; puzzle difficulty is a separate choice. This starter uses easy settings, but you should still review the actual vocabulary and solving task for your audience.

For a one-off activity

If you only need one sheet, try the free word-search maker. For a repeatable classroom set, use the teacher worksheet workflow.

What changes when I buy Pro?

You can build and inspect a watermarked interior proof free. Pro unlocks clean book exports and commercial use under the licence terms. PuzzleBindery takes no per-book royalty; marketplace fees, printing costs and applicable taxes remain separate. Buying a licence does not guarantee publishing acceptance or sales.

For print publishing, check the final interior, cover and page count together. Use the page-count calculator for planning and the cover calculator for dimensions, then inspect the actual final files.

Evaluate your own proof first

Open the starter, make a change and export the proof before deciding about the licence.
